In Hong Kong, the COVID-19 cases had petered out, so we decided to go on a staycation at the JW Marriott with our new friends, Mia and Luka. It was the best hotel we stayed at this year in Asia. It had great service, delicious food, and the rooms were super nice and spacious. We had so much fun swimming, eating and playing games that no one wanted to leave when it was time to go.
We booked two rooms, and one of them was upgraded to a suite. The rooms were connecting, so we basically had a two-bedroom suite. One way the service was great was that they got us slippers that were exactly the right size for all of us (shown below)!
After we checked out our room, we headed down to the lobby to meet Luka and Mia. Once we met up, we went to the executive lounge for afternoon tea.
We soon discovered that we had to wear masks and have our temperature checked in every part of the hotel.
After afternoon tea, we headed to the pool and swam for a couple of hours.
After we finished swimming, we went to dinner at the executive lounge for our second (free!) meal of the day. There was lots of delicious food. My favorite (and Elise’s) was the duck with mango salsa.
After dinner, it was party time! The girls decided to try out the big whirlpool bath tub, and I played video games. Then we spent the rest of the night playing board games and video games.
As you can see in the pictures below, the hotel brought up extra beds for us so the kids could have a slumber party in the living room.
The next day, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast at… you guessed it, the executive lounge.
After breakfast, we squeezed in a few more hours of swimming and enjoyed some relaxation time in our room before our late checkout at 5pm.
When it was time to go, all the kids agreed that the adults epically failed in not booking more than one night.
The hotel sound like it was a lot of fun. Were are you going next?
Nowhere, not even Houston. Our flight was canceled😱.
LOL @ the yellow bath water 😂
You put all of our feelings into words. Bravo! 👏🏻
Thank you, maybe we can go again! Mom sent my post to the manager.
